Why the Name?

Still trying to figure the whole blog construction/building endeavor, but the compelling reason is that this is a personal blog.  Three years ago, I had horrific car accident that left me in a six day coma and took six months out of my life.  Technically, only one week in the hospital, ten business days in rehab before I sprung myself, and the rest of the time on medical leave while I underwent intensive out patient treatment in speech, occupational, and some physical  therapy.

This leads to the bit about the traumatic brain injury, or TBI.  This hidden disability messes up one's brain depending on the severity of the impact and the location of the injury on the  brain.  Mine is a front temporal injury that has left my filters busted and low impulse control.  In other words: before the accident, I had just finished my master's degree, while working full time, with two kids and a husband.  I was quite effective handling detailed, multiple project at one time.  I was also very organized and controlled. Now, not so much.

So what the world gets is woman who definitely speaks her mind, is lucky not to be a vegetable, and who has a Tricky brain injury But is Inventive in how she deals with it.  She also tends to lose objects on a regular basis, has a hookey memory, and would be lost without technology and her Droid phone.
